Through Coloured Glass, Reflections on my changing world, by Eva Urbach (2008)

After her children had become independent, Eva Urbach used her acute powers of observation to write in a skillful style pieces about her family history and significant events in her own life and the lives of her husband and children. In 2005 she engaged Ian Grinblat to help her consolidate and edit the various pieces and to write connecting passages to produce a coherent memoir beginning with her childhood in Nazi Germany, describing Kristallnacht (the Night of Broken Glass), and her arrival with her parents in Australia as Enemy Aliens. The story continues with her involvement in fledgling Zionist youth movement, Habonim, her marriage, her migration to Palestine, the establishment of the State of Israel, her return to Australia and her life as a wife and mother.
